Cinema has never belonged exclusively to the cinema. For decades, artists have used the moving image to challenge conventions, question established narratives, and explore territories that traditional filmmaking rarely reaches.
Making its Istanbul debut in 2027, the “Artists’ Film Festival” brings together a distinctive selection of moving image works by artists from across the world.
Through a dynamic curatorial programme, the festival explores the fertile space between contemporary art and cinema, where experimentation takes precedence over convention and the act of watching becomes an invitation to see differently. Not simply a celebration of film, but an exploration of what film can become.
